
The RF Ministry of Industry and Trade and CHTZ-Uraltrac, OJSC a member of the Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation, OJSC are going to enter into a RUB 100 million state contract for designing of new heavy duty engines for military vehicles.
The design will be based on the T-type series-production tractor engine.
The representatives of the press office of the enterprise have informed RusBusinessNews that in the competition for the contract the Chelyabinsk plant sidestepped such rivals as Avtodizel, OJSC and Tutaev Motor Plant, OJSC. By November 2014, CHTZ-Uraltrac, OJSC will have completed research and development to adapt the engine to special-purpose vehicles.
