The Ukrainian Electrometallurgical Works Dneprospetsstal named after AN Kuzmin has announced that it has commissioned its new rolled stock processing line 120/280 at its rolling workshop. The investment in the project amounted to EUR 2.2 million.

The new line, with an annual capacity of 21,000 tonnes was manufactured by German equipment supplier Loeser GmbH as a special order. The line’s unique features will allow processing of billet of up to 2.5 tonnes in weight, while traditionally Loeser analogical equipment is meant for light bar processing.

With its new line Dneprospetsstal will be able to increase the surface quality of its products in order to comply with the requirements of customers worldwide. In addition, the new line will enable the mill to expand its product range and to enter new markets.

Dneprospetsstal is specialized in the production of stainless steel, tool steel, heat-resistant steel, bearings, construction steel and alloys in the form of rods, bars and flats. The plant manufactures more than 800 steel grades and 1,000 cross sections.
