It is reported that Dneprospetsstal a leading Ukrainian producer of special steels, plans to start its new furnace before 2012.

As per report, it will put into production in next half year and the supply contract will be signed in the third quarter. The new furnace is capable of producing 400,000 tonnes and the investment will be about EUR 20 million. Meanwhile, Dneprospetsstal also plans to build and start a new vacuum induction furnace in April 2011.

According to preliminary statistics, in the first quarter of this year, Dneprospetsstal’s finished steel production totaled 39,000 tonnes, decreased by 50.6%YoY compared with the same time of last year.
