Interfax-Ukraine cited Mr Yuriy Bobchenko the chairman of the enterprise trade committee at a meeting in the State Property Fund in Kyiv last week as saying that the day shift at ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih will be transferred to a three day working week.
He said that "Today the owner of the enterprise has signed the order on transferring the day shift to a three day working week. The owner has the right to apply the order in two months."
According to the enterprises press service, it has not seen the order on reducing the working week to three days. At the same time the press service confirmed there were talks on the issue. If such law is approved, it will be approved on the base of Ukraine's laws and agreed with trade unions.
