It is reported that Capital expenditures of the Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation have doubled to USD 2.5 billion in 2011.

ENRC capital expenditures have doubled. According to the document, the total investment program of the corporation exceeds USD 11 billion and around USD 2.5 billion out of this amount will be invested in Kazakhstan economy in 2011.

The company is currently implementing several projects it is building four direct current furnaces at the Aktobe Ferrous alloy Plant and expanding the iron ore base by 10 million tons per year, building an anode production plant and expanding production of alumina.

The power unit-2 of the Aksu thermo electric power plant is being reconstructed in the energy sector along with the power unit-6 of the Aksu TPP.
