It is reported that Frolovo Electric Steel Melting Plant a Volgograd region based subsidiary of the Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding in January to September this year increased its square billet output by 34%YoY to 202,800 tonnes.

In the third quarter of this year, Volga-Fest produced 69,600 tonnes of square billets, registering a 41%YoY. Currently, Volga-Fest operates at its designed capacity is fully provided with the necessary raw materials and has stable orders for its products. In 2009, the plant's output amounted to 220,900 tonnes this year it is planning to produce 285,900 tonnes of billets.

Volga-Fest is specialized in the production and sale of continuous-cast steel billets of carbon steel grades for further re-rolling. The plant is equipped with an electric arc furnace with 50 MT capacity a secondary steel treatment unit and with a continuous billet caster.
