E ON sells 3pct of Gazprom to VEB and remaining to market

RIA Novosti reported that Germany energy group E ON has agreed to sell its 2.7% stake in Gazprom to state owned Russian investment bank Vnesheconombank while the remaining 0.8% has been sold on the market.
The company said in a statement E ON proceeds from the sales totals EUR EUR 3.4 billion resulting in a book gain of around EUR 2.5 billion.
