Itar-Tass citing Mr Vladimir Putin Russian Prime Minister as saying that General Motors’ decision against the sale of Opel will cause no harm to Russia interests.

He said that “GM’s decision to cancel the sale of Opel to the consortium of Magna and Sberbank will not cause harm to the interests of Russia.”

Mr Putin said though that we were prepared to support the implementation of that project.
