Interfax reported that Gazprom current production for the first time in 2009 topped average daily output posted in the winter of 2008 to 2009.
The Fuel and Energy Central Dispatch Center said the Russian gas producer had posted 1.559 billion cubic meters which was 6% above average daily production in October 2008. The same results were posted in November of 2008 as well as all the winter months for 2008 to 2009.
Gazprom only managed to top this figure in the first part of January. However, production plans then included the possibility of a transit crisis. As a result, Gazprom pumped undistributed gas into underground storage.
On October 22nd Gazprom output reached 1.489 billion cubic meters. On October 23rd it to increased to 1.491 billion cubic meter.
The company minimum daily output was posted on June 21st at 891.7 million cubic meters.
