EKG-10s operating weight is 400 tons bucket capacity is 10 cubic meters. This is the most popular model of excavators produced by IZ-KARTEX. The share of EKG-10 in the total number of excavators produced in 2000-2011 is 80%.

Production of EKG-10 was launched in 1984. The first excavator of this kind was delivered at Kemerovougol Krasnobrodskiy coal mine. Today EKG-10 is the main type of electromechanical excavator in Russian mining industry and the largest CIS countries in terms of raw materials Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. On the basis of the EKG-10 the company also produces modifications with the extended working equipment EKG-8US and EKG-5U.

The 500th EKG-10 was delivered by IZ-KARTEX to Olympiandskiy ore mining and dressing plant, located in Krasnoyarsk region and belonging to OJSC Polyus Gold the largest gold mining company in Russia.
