Interpipe NTZ, a manufacturer of railroad wheels under the brand KLW, received certificates of conformity to European standards and internal requirements of the German railways on railway wheels machined. Obtaining these certificates will directly supply Interpipe finishing w / e the wheels under the KLW brand one of the largest railway operators in Europe.

Certification of Deutsche Bahn took place in several stages, including included together with specialists from the German railways to develop measures to improve the quality indicators of steel. In particular, stricter requirements on the structure of metal, made improvements in heat treatment process of wheels, the development of new cutting conditions and cutting tool selected, changes in technology, heat treatment of the wheels.

Before the wheels were shipped to the certification of Deutsche Bahn, they have passed the pre-endurance test in a German laboratory SINCOTEC. According to test results obtained the conclusion that the samples not only meet but also exceed their properties European standards.

Mr Michael Iskov Director of Sales Interpipe wheel products said "The German railways are one of the key customers w / e brand wheels KLWna European market. So far we have supplied to Germany pretreated railway wheels, which are then passed to the final machining companies in Western Europe. Certificates of DeutcheBahnna Finishing wheels will allow us to directly supply the German railways, but also give an opportunity to significantly expand the range proposed in the European market products.”

The Company plans to 2012 development of production technology and certification w / e wheels of continuous cast steel.
