Kazakhmys reiterates 2008 production outlook
Reuters reported that copper producer Kazakhmys would keep output at least at 2007 levels this year despite halting work at some facilities.
Mr Eduard Ogai head of Kazakhmys's Kazakh operations said "We are not planning to cut output this year. We hope to stay at the same levels. He said that those were three mines and a copper smelter which had been stopped for maintenance. He said the stoppages would not mean the company would miss its 2008 targets.”
