It is reported that OJSC Kherson Shipyard has started fulfilling a contract with Italian offshore company Saipem to build six offshore structures with a total weight of 1,200 tonnes.

The structures will be used to unfasten a submarine pipeline. The contract was signed on October 13 2011. The period of its fulfillment is five months.

Offshore structures are rigs used for underwater oil and gas extraction.

Oil Company Saipem has offshore and shore mining and drilling branches.
