It is reported that Baku Steel Company has chosen the German company SMS Siemag as a contractor for the construction of new steel plant in Govsany village.

A statement said "Company SMS Siemag has already submitted its proposals to the management of the Ltd."

Production capacity of the new plant is one million tons.

A statement said "The plant will be equipped with new technologies that meet high standards."

According to the project, the issue of environmental protection is one of the most important in the manufacturing process.

The new plant will provides more than a thousand new jobs.
