Interfax quoted a source at the Russian steel major said Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works is planning to produce 8.6 million tonnes to 8.7 million tonnes of finished roll in 2009, as forecast, despite seasonal variations in demand in Q4.

The source said rolled steel production came to 7.3 million tonnes in January to October. This included just over 820,000 tonnes in October or 18% more than in the same month last year.
