
Macroeconomic indicators - Armenian GDP widens to 5pct
Interfax citied Mr Tigran Sargsyan Prime Minister of Armenia as saying that Economic growth in Armenia reached 5% in January to September 2011.
He said that "GDP rose 5%, which is a rather good result. He added that industrial and agricultural output grew in the nine months. He also said "There is still a downward trend in construction."
The 2011 budget forecasts GDP growth of 4.6%.
The International Monetary Fund also predicts GDP growth of 4.6%.
