RIA Novosti citing Mr Karim Masimov Prime Minister of Kazakhstan as saying that Kazakhstan gross domestic product increased 7.5% in 2011.

The government official forecast for 2011 is 7%.

Mr Nursultan Nazarbayev President of Kazakhstan recently said GDP would grow 7.3%.

Mr Grigory Marchenko National Bank head said in early December the growth would exceed 7%.

Mr Masimov also said GDP per capita was about USD 11,300 in 2011.

In 1993, GDP per capita in Kazakhstan was USD 700.
