Prime-Tass quotes the federal state statistics service said Russia on September 22nd to 28th saw a zero inflation rate. Since the beginning of the month it was at the point of freezing as well. Since the beginning of the year it has measured 8.1%.

According to preliminary estimates, inflation in Russia in September will be equal to nothing.

In September 2008 and 2007 inflation measured 0.8% and in September 2006, 0.1%. Zero inflation has never been registered in September since 1992. September 1993 saw a deflation of 0.3%.
