According to the preliminary data offered by the State Statistics Committee, Ukraine GDP shrunk by 15.9%YoY in 3Q09 while its industrial output plummeted by 26.4%YoY in January to September. In particular, the industrial output increased by 5.0%MoM but dropped by 6.2%YoY in October 2009.

The data released is in line with our predictions for GDP to decrease by 15%YoY in 2009 and for the industrial output to drop by 22.7%.
