Metalloinvest Management Company carried out recertification of its information security management system to comply with requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard.

The accredited auditor ZAO Bureau Veritas Certification Rus’ extended the term of certification of ISMS for Metalloinvest Management Company till November 2014.

Metalloinvest Management Company was established for effective management of consolidated assets. That’s why certification covered a key business process, consolidation of holding financial accountability including international and management accountability.

ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is the only international standard which specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving a documented information security management system. Currently only 10 companies in the Russian Federation have certificates of conformity with this international standard.

Metalloinvest Management Company had its ISMS certified to comply with requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard in 2008 and became the first Russian mining and metallurgical holding to pass this certification. The conformity with the international requirements was proved by one of the major international certification authorities BSI Management Systems with UKAS accreditation.
