The Ukrainian mining and steel producing group Metinvest has announced that in 2011 its crude steel production increased by 3.9% YoY to 14.375 million tonnes as compared to 13.835 million tonnes in 2010.

In addition, in 2011, Metinvest also produced 12.385 million tonnes of pig iron, up by 4.5% YoY.

In 2011, the coking coal production of Metinvest increased by 12.3% YoY to 11.339 million tonnes. In the given year, Metinvest produced 35.741 million tonnes of iron ore concentrate as compared to 35.726 million tonnes produced in 2010.
