
It is reported that steel billet price at Black Sea from Ukrainian steel mills further decreased this week by around USD 10 per tonne. This brings the total loss to USD 40 per tonne to USD 50 per tonne since last peak in early January.
Incidentally, such low levels have not been seen since November 2010 except for one week in December 2011.
As per market information demand is weak and February production from several mills is still available.

Finished flat producers maintained their prices to a great extant despite Chinese pressure and limited buying.
