The CIS steel export market was generally keeping the previously reported levels last week.
Amidst faint signals of bottoming out billets prices in Black Sea remained under pressure. Billet price is statistically stable, but internally it faces mixed trends. Producers are trying to fix prices and push market up, at the same time some companies are still not well booked for February.
Finished longs prices are also remained stable amid a weak demand.
Finished flats are remained stable amid fine demand. Ukrainian mills have lately booked HRC at levels of USD 570 per tonne CPT Odessa that is equivalent to USD 585 per tonne FOB ST. HR Sheets are offered at USD 640 per tonne DAF border. Both HRC and HR sheets prices are expected to be increased for March rolling, April delivery.
