As Ramadan draws to close on 31st August expectancy is creeping in the long product market. Billet and other long product prices exhibited relative confidence towards weekend.
It is reported that finished steel flats dynamics at Black Sea was mixed with some positive trends for HRC and stagnating plate quotations.
The recent deals for the Russian HRC from Caspian and Black Sea are reported to be at USD 5 per tonne higher.
For the Ukrainian material price is nominal with no deals reported. Situation with offers is also strange as the country’s mills are still absent from the market. But in the last few days some players reportedly offered small lots for high price to the south of Europe.
On the other hand, plate from key players was offered to MENA region at a discount of US 10 per tonne to USD 20 per tonne WoW.
