
Ukrainian mills are resisting correction in billet levels on the eve of year end holidays. Levels having receded by over USD 100 per tonne over the past 3 months mills have been looking for respite against all odds.
It is reported that CIS export market for billets and longs picked up a little bit this week.
Billet prices increased by USD 5 per tonne to USD 10 per tonne
Finished longs also added around USD 5 per tonne
It is reported that finished flat product prices continued to weaken at Black Sea this week.
It is heard that the Ukrainian HRC is offered from Odessa for USD 555 per tonne to USD 560 per tonne FOB, this brings price in Mariupol to USD 545 per tonne.
The Russian material from Novorossiysk is around USD 580 per tonne.
