Moscow International Oil Gas Exhibition kicks off

Mehr News Agency reported that the 10th Moscow International Oil & Gas Exhibition kicked off on June 23rd.

As per report some 1,000 companies from 40 countries including Iran, have taken part in the 4 day event.

MIOGE is Russia’s largest oil & gas exhibition. Since its launch in 1993, it has established itself as a leading event for the Russian energy market. It is also among the top ten oil & gas shows in the world.

MIOGE covers all aspects of the oil & gas industry: exploration and production, onshore and offshore technology, oilfield equipment and services, drilling and well servicing, transportation and pipelines, measurement and automation technology, tools and electro-power equipment, laboratory equipment, software, recruiting and training and many others. Special sections at MIOGE 2009 include geophysics and geology, environment and safety, refining, processing and petrochemicals.

On the sidelines of the expo, Mr Seyyed Noureddin Shahnazizadeh Iranian Deputy Oil Minister met with Mr Sergey Kudryashov Russian Federation’s Deputy Energy Minister to discus energy-related issues, particularly investment opportunities in this sector.

Mr Mahmoud-Reza Sajjadi Iranian Ambassador to Russia said that the establishment of oil bourses in Russia’s St Petersburg and Iran’s Kish Island and both sides’ interest in boosting energy ties heralds a promising future for Tehran-Moscow relations.

Referring to Russia’s enormous capability in the upstream oil sector and Iran’s engineering competence, Mr Sajjadi called for launching a consortium for carrying out joint ventures in Iran, Russia and third party countries as well.

Gazprom, Lukoil, TNK-BP, Rosneft, Transneft, Surgutneftegaz, Tatneft, Stroytrangas, Shell, CNPC, Statoil, Total, ENI, Petro-Canada, PDVSA, JOGMEC, Gaz de France and NIOC can be named as the most renowned exhibitors.
