The Blic daily has reported that Ukrainian steel king Mr Rinat Akhmetov is interested in buying the Smederevo steel mill,
As per report, Mr Akhmetov's closest associate was in Belgrade on Monday and met with the government to discuss buying the mill.
The Serbian government recently bought the plant from US Steel for the price of USD 1.
