Interfax reported that Mr Silvio Berlusconi Italian Prime Minister has emphasized the importance of building the South Stream gas pipeline.
Mr Berlusconi said a joint press conference with Russian Prime Minister Mr Vladimir Putin in Milan said "South Stream is very important, because it will guarantee us Russian gas."
