It is reported that Mr Igor Chudinov PM of Kyrgyzstan headed out for Naryn oblast planning to visit the Kara Keche coal deposit in Jumgal district as a part of a trip.

Mr Chudinov intends to personally witness arrangements for the coming heating season and to inspect current situation at the Kara-Keche.

The Kyrgyzstan government does not make secret that today’s troublesome energy supply forces it to search for optional sources. The experts suggest use of the Kara-Keche mine capacity. The project of a large thermal condensation power plant is still under discussion. The project is expected to improve the energy branch of Kyrgyz economy significantly. The plant is to be built within four years, with the volume of 1,200 Megawatt and annual output 6.6million kilowatt hours. The Kara-Keche deposit resources are enough to keep the plant operational within 50 years at least. Development of other mines of the Kavak basin will allow longer life of the plant.

During the visit the premier also intends to meet with the Naryn oblast governor Mr Omurbek Suvanaliev, local urban and rural areas’ administrators.
