On 16 November 2011, NLMK will start scheduled 35-day repair and maintenance works at its 2.6 million tonnes per year BF-5 at the Company’s main production site in Lipetsk.

During this period, NLMK is planning to repair the furnace’s cooling system equipment.

These activities were scheduled last year. Preparations for planned repairs have been under way for the last 7 months.

The decrease in pig iron output during the maintenance works will be compensated by increased utilization rates at the other five blast furnaces of the Company, including the new BF-7.
