It is reported that NMZK, Novosibirsk Steel Works Named after Kuzmin managed by Metallservis completes preliminary works on setting up 5 roller welding stands as part of an investment program on modernization of its tubes electric-welding facilities.

According to the program, the new equipment will be launched before the end of June 2010. Being more complicated in setting up the new generation stands will enable to produce both thicker and thinner wall tubes of higher quality.

The 5 roller stands were delivered to last spring. The investments in the project are estimated at more than RUB 5 million. Today such welding units are mostly used abroad and are rarely found at Russian plants.
