Interfax reported that the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine has decided to reorganize subsidiary Gaz Ukrainy of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy into public joint-stock company Syntez-Gaz Ukrainy.

The report says that order No. 545 was signed on July 26 2012.

Interfax-Ukraine has not managed to obtain comments on the aim of the reorganization from the ministry and Naftogaz.

Gaz Ukrainy was founded in 2007. The company sold natural gas to industrial consumers and heat supply companies. In 2010, the company increased supplies of natural gas by 11.2% to 44.03 billion cubic meters.
