According to Mr Yevhen Bakulin CEO of Naftogaz that Ukraine national stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy plans to import 2.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas this month and 2.5 billion cubic meters in February which represents substantial reductions.

He said that depending on the weather, January imports could run from 2.1 to 2.5 billion cubic meters and February imports from 2.5 to 2.8 billion cubic meters.

He added that company plans call for taking 3 billion cubic meters of gas out of underground storage this month and 2.5 billion cubic meters next month.
