Ukrainian News Agency reported that the Naftohaz Ukrainy national joint stock company is ready to assist the Russian Gazprom in full provision of European consumers with natural gas.

According to Naftohaz Ukrainy, it is completely fulfilling Gazprom's orders for Russian gas transit to Europe through the territory of Ukraine.

The cold spell in Russia has led to the reduction in gas supply on the border with Ukraine.

At the same time it assures of no extra gas off take beyond the transit volumes, but will compensate the increase in gas consumption in Ukraine through pumping gas from the Ukrainian underground storage facilities.

As Ukrainian News reported, Gazprom reduced gas supply to Europe because of cold spell.
