It is reported that during the H1 of 2009, the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant recorded a 60.1%YoY decline in its output to 211,500 tonnes compared to the same period last year.
During the first six months of the current year NZF produced only silicomanganese and ferromanganese. In H1 2009, NZF silicomanganese output went down by 44.8%YoY while its ferromanganese production decreased by 91.2%YoY to196,100 tonnes and 15,400 tonnes respectively.
On July 1st 2009, NZF reached almost 100% production capacity utilization and in the current month is targeting an output of over 55,000 tonnes of ferroalloys.
NZF production capacities allow it to produce 1 million tonnes of silicomanganese per year, 250,000 tonnes per year of high carbon ferromanganese, and more than 15,000 tonnes per year of medium carbon ferromanganese.
