
OGK-3 said that it reached an agreement with Buryatia government on cooperation till 2017. The efforts are aimed to strengthen the regional economics; improve social situation and develop the coal sector to cover the needs of the utilities.
OGK-3 is one of the first generating companies formed within the energetics restructuring and first private energo in Russia. It provides the energy transfer and sale on the wholesale market and heat generation.
OGK-3 was registered in 2004 to involve 6 large energos with 8497 MW in total capacity: Kostromskaya, Pechorskaya, Cherepetskaya, Kharanorskaya, Gusinoozerskaya, Yuzhnouralskaya GRES. OGK-3 was the first energy company launching the public placement of stocks in favor of the private strategic investor.
