The Casting and Rolling Complex has confirmed the compliance of its quality management system certificate with the requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2008. The annual compliance audit was held at the end of September 2012.

The audit performed by Bureau Veritas Certification concerned such issues as documentation management, staff competency, production planning, monitoring of processes and products, infrastructure and working environment, improvement of management system. The auditors didn’t reveal any inconsistencies with the international standard and internal regulations.

During the audit the specialists from Bureau Veritas Certification inspected the following departments and units of the Casting and Rolling Complex: electric furnace smelting workshop and rolling mill, technical management, production management, HR management, logistic support management, finance and economy management.

It should be noted that the branch of OMK Steel received the certificate of compliance with the requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2008 in 2011 with 3 year period of validity. The availability of the certificate guaranties the implementation of production processes in accordance with standard requirements and allows the company to perform as a major supplier of rolled products on the market, including international trade.

The United Metallurgical Company invites all visitors of the 18th International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo’2012 to attend the company’s stand in hall 75. OMK Steel will hold a presentation on a new project Metallurgical complex Mill 5000. Also at the 15th International conference Russian Steel and Metal Market’2012 which will open Metall Expo2012, Mr Nikolai Zaitsev CEO of OMK Steel will make a report on the company’s performance in the Russian market of rolled products and pipes.
