Vyksa Steel Works summed up the production activity for 8 months and in August 2009.

Since the beginning of the year produced 993,700 tonnes of pipes of various sizes, shipped over 1 million tonnes of pipes. In August 2009, VSW produced 146,500 tonnes of pipes at 11.6% increase in rates in August last year shipped 150,100 tonnes of pipes up by 23%YoY compared to August 2008.

Large diameter pipes in August 2009 VSW produced 96,500 tonnes up by 59.1%YoY in production compared to August 2008. In January to August LDP production was 635,100 tonnes up by 31.8%YoY over the same period in 2008.

In August, VSW continued delivery of the project Bovanenkovo-Ukhta started the production of large diameter pipes for the construction of gas pipeline in Nigeria as well as gas transportation system of the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok.

Mr Vladimir Kochetkov executive director of VMP said "At the moment VMZ pipe production secured orders. Participation in major projects such as Nord Stream, the second phase of the Baltic Pipeline System, the North-European gas pipeline allows us to look to the future.”
