FIS reported that after a five year break in the operation FSUE Omsktransmash's bankrupt tank plant has resumed production.

The regional government's press services announced recently that Omsktransmash received components for assembling of a batch of railway cars whose production is being deployed in Omsk by FSUE Uralvagonzavod.

The report added that special capacities of FSUE Omsktransmash for the development of a T 80 tank repair base were repurchased by FSUE Omsk Machine building Design Bureau. The remaining capacities will be sold at open auctions in the near future. In total RUB 3 billion will be invested in the restoration of civil production.
