At the Orsk Machine Building Plant which is part of the oilfield services division TMK passed the audit for compliance with quality management system and production of oil and gas pipes standards of the American Petroleum Institute.

OMZ manufactures a wide range of locks for the drill pipe and components for oilfield equipment. In 2011 the plant began producing casing and tubing with premium threaded connections of development of Russian and American units PMC.

As a result of audit quality management system standard to be consistent with API Spec Q1 8th ed., And the production of pipes to API Spec 5CT 9th ed. OMZ is granted a license to use API monogram in the production casing and tubing including the premium threaded connections.

UHM became the first Russian company TMK to be certified for the production of API casing and elements tubing and components of oil and gas equipment subs and short tubes, and couplings. This allows the PMC to complete deliveries of casing and tubing strings of its own production, is fully certified by the standards of API.

Mr Sergei Bilan Deputy General Director of TMK premium products and the service said "The presence of API Monogram confirms that the quality of products trims the advanced requirements of our customers - Russian and international oil companies. Certification of OMZ on the production of tubular elements of the columns on the standard American Petroleum Institute expands the company's ability to obtain new orders and the promotion of integrated production, will increase the efficiency of integrated supply of tubular products and reduce their time."
