It is reported that JSC Perm Oil Machine Engineering Company will have restored more than 3,000 drill pipes for Schlumberger in 2009. This is the first time that the Perm Company works for one of the world's largest oilfield service companies.

PKNM informed RusBusinessNews that in October to December Schlumberger will supply more than a thousand steel drill pipes to be used at oil and gas fields in Yamal and Ugra. In the future the Perm Company is going to contend for further contracts from Schlumberger.

Schlumberger provides a broad range of services involved in the development of oil fields exploration, drilling, well service and well stimulation. In Russia the services of the company are used by Gazprom, Rosneft, Lukoil, Gazpromneft, TNK-BP.

Schlumberger is also a large consumer only in the last year the company purchased 33 million dollars worth of goods and services from Russian companies.
