Kyiv Post reported that Ukrainian antimonopoly Committee found no evidence of Private controlling Zaporizhia, Nikopol and Stakhanov ferroalloy plants.

According to the report, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has not been able to substantiate allegations that Private Group controls OJSC Zaporizhia Ferroalloys Plant, OJSC Nikopol Ferroalloys Plant and Stakhanov Ferroalloys Plant.

Mr Oleksandr Melnychenko the acting head of the committee in an interview published on Thursday by the Commentaries weekly newspaper said that "The information available to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and received from other governmental bodies at the time of the inquiry provides no ground for establishing the fact that the Privat Group controls these plants."

He said that the Antimonopoly Committee had probed the activities of the Zaporizhia, Nikopol and Stakhanov ferroalloy plants at the government's request.
