It is reported that RZHD intends to increase investments to RUB 413 billion.

The funds will be invested in the building Olympic objects, modernization of the rolling stock, railway infrastructure safety etc. Over the 9 month period this year RUB 225.5 billion were invested in the realization of the projects.

RZHD was set up in 2003 on the basis of the Ministry of Communications. 100% are held by the government. The railway network covers 85500 kilometres.
