
Rautaruukki is supplying the steel structures for the enlargement of Victor and Co's Megacomplex shopping and entertainment centre in Samara, Volga region in Russia. The order, which includes Ruukki's steel frames, walls and roofs, is worth about EUR 10 million.
The original single storey shopping and entertainment centre is being reconstructed with extra floors. Enlargement consists of 5 sections of complex shape, 40,000 square meters altogether, the size of 8 football fields. The steel structures will be supplied by Ruukki's Obninsk plant and continue until September 2008.
Mr Viktor Syrkov director of Victor & Co said that "Ruukki is our reliable partner. We have been working together for about 7 years. During this time, Ruukki's steel structures have been used in the construction of the Victoria water park and Castorama and Cosmoport supermarkets in Samara."
