RIA Novosti citing Mr Stanislav Voznesensky deputy economic development minister of Russia as saying that the president of Russia largest oil company, Rosneft plans to discuss the extension of export duty discounts for its huge Vankor oil field with Russian Finance Minister Mr Alexei Kudrin soon.
Mr Stanislav Voznesensky said "The question is very important for the company and I know that Mr Khudainatov plans to explain to Mr Kudrin the core of the issue, adding that Rosneft's spending on the Vankor development was growing.”
In September, Rosneft asked the government to cut export duties for Vankor to USD 100 in the next two years and scrap the duty for its Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye deposit. Both deposits are located in the Krasnoyarsk region in East Siberia and enjoy low export duties applicable to deposits with poor infrastructure.
