It is reported that Russian steel scrap company Donlom announced that it doubled its procurement and sales volumes of ferrous metal scrap in 2011, becoming Russia biggest scrap exporter by volume based on Russian customs figures.

According to the company statement, Donlom collected and processed 192,409 tonnes of steel scrap in 2011 compared to 96,706 tonnes recorded in 2010, while the company's steel scrap sales volume during the year amounted to 189,032 tonnes up from 94,313 tonnes sold in 2010.

Donlom which is a developing scrap processing company based in southern Russia, collects, processes and loads scrap metals at special scrap yards located south of the Don River.
