It is reported that after European Union imposed high anti dumping duty on Chinese fasteners, Russian MMK and Severstal Group has asked the government to initiate a safeguard Investigation against Chinese fasteners.

The fastener exports from Kashing, China have reduced by 50% since February 2009. Recently, Chinese government is negotiating with the Industry Association in order to gain a better international trade situation.

Although these anti dumping measures with apparent protectionism are partly because of the financial crisis, Chinese fastener makers are forced to face change.
