According to deputy Minister of the ministry of Russia, the country Ministry for Economic Development has suggested a zero import tax for coke compared with current 5%.

Earlier reports said that Russian government might study zero import tax for coke so as to cover domestic shortage.

Raspadskaya coal mine accident on May 9th has halted coke productions. It is still unclear when production will be resumed. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Mr Igor Sechin has estimated that this would decrease Russia domestic coke output by 11%.
