
Russia watchdog approves Nord Stream pipeline construction
The Russian environmental watchdog the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Surveillance has approved the construction of the sea stretch of the Nord Stream gas pipeline. As per report a total of 123 kilometers will be laid in Russia's territorial waters.
Russia is the fourth country to approve the construction. Denmark, Finland and Sweden have already issued their approvals, with Germany being the only country to do the same.
