Journal Staff reported that Mr Dmitry Medvedev PM of Russian has given support to VTB chief Mr Andrei Kostin's proposal to boost the ruble's role in payments between Russia and Ukraine.

Mr Medvedev said that "If 40% of payments are in rubles there is cause for considering this. The role of the Chinese yuan has been increasing in the world and made a proposal to Ukraine to choose the currency closest to it the ruble or the yuan.
